Airless spray painting is the industry's gold standard for applying protective and decorative coatings on large industrial surfaces. Using high-pressure hydraulic systems to atomize paint without compressed air, this technique delivers thick, uniform coats with exceptional speed, coverage, and quality — making it the preferred method for structural steel, pipelines, tanks, and plant equipment.
In airless spray painting, paint is pressurized to very high pressures (typically 1,500–7,500 psi) by a hydraulic pump and then forced through a small spray tip. The sudden pressure drop at the tip causes the paint to atomize into a fine, controlled spray pattern. Unlike conventional air spray, there is no compressed air mixed with the paint — resulting in less overspray, higher transfer efficiency, and the ability to apply high-viscosity coatings without thinning.
